Moving to a foreign country is an experience that can change a person's life forever. My family moved from Japan to Germany when I was in 4th grade. Adjusting to a new culture, making new friends, and trying to learn new languages all at once was overwhelming. I was scared of being who I am and the thought of going to school every day made me anxious. However, the ISR community helped me to find my place and discover who I am. I realized that embracing change is a crucial part of growth and that no matter where you come from, we all have a common goal - to learn, grow, and succeed. 

As we progress through school, we are exposed to various influences that shape our visions and goals for the future. And it is not uncommon for students to feel uncertain about their future. But what if the graduates could pool their collective knowledge, experience and skills, and provide guidance for current and future students? Ilja and I founded GradTutor during our first year of university after graduating ISR in 2021. With a shared determination, we took on this challenge to develop a platform that could make a difference in our community.
